All electrical installations deteriorate with time and should be inspected and tested every 1 to 10 years depending on the installation and the use. A domestic rental property I would advise be checked every 5 years. Commercial properties such as public houses or hotels I would advise a yearly inspection.
These safety checks are commonly known as ‘periodic inspection’ or
‘electrical installation condition report’ or 'landlords safety certificate'.
All inspections are carried out at a convient time to you the client.
We will need access to the consumer unit or distribution boards and all light fitting and socket outlets.
A electrical inspection reports will:
Reveal if any of your electrical circuits or equipment are overloaded.
Find any potential electric shock risks and fire hazards.
Identify any defective electrical work.
Highlight any lack of earthing or bonding.
Once the inspection as been carried out a 7 page certificate will be emailed.
If any small defects are found during the testing process we are happy to retifiy these onsite to help keep costs down. This will only be done with permission from the client ordering the work.
If you have any questions regarding the testing process please feel free to email or call
